Born and brought up in New Delhi, India, the kitchen has been Vatsala’s favourite room in the house since her childhood. Motivated by a desire to create vegetarian dishes and desserts for her grandparents, Vatsala spent hours experimenting in the kitchen to perfect her recipes. Her mantra was clear - preparing delicious, vegetarian desserts with natural ingredients and a whole lot of love! 

 

Baked Love by Vatsala was formally founded in 2013 when she set up a dessert stall at her college festival in Delhi University. Sold out within hours and feeling encouraged by the response, she set up an order-only studio where she worked hard to develop a base of loyal clientele.

 

In 2015, she trained at Le Cordon Bleu, London, which helped further her skills. 

 

In 2017, Baked Love by Vatsala forayed into retail with their first-ever patisserie at Green Park. The menu expanded to include gourmet coffee, artisan breads and freshly baked, ready-to-pick desserts and cakes.

Deeply interested in East Asian languages, food and culture, Vatsala loves to bake to the tunes of K-drama soundtracks and wishes she could have ramen, sushi and kimchi for all meals every single day.
